All submissions for Sedona Chamber publications listed below may only contain business news, events and discounts. We reserve the right to edit or reject submissions that do not meet these criteria or compromise the Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau mission, goals and values.

Coupon/Offer

  • A coupon should be a special offer, not an ongoing discount.
  • A discount may run up to three months. You can change the terms at any time. You may also post discounts for a future date.
  • Each of your category listings may have no more than two active coupons at a time.
  • An image is not required, but highly recommended. The image size should be 1240 pixels wide x 775 pixels high.

 

If you do not already have an image uploaded to your partner profile, do that FIRST.
To add images (or video) to your profile page, login to the Extranet. You will find navigation tabs on the left side of the screen.
  • Select Collateral from the left column.
  • Select Media from the flyout menu.
  • Then click the BLUE Add New Media button.
  • Complete the form. (ALL red fields are REQUIRED information.)
  • ALWAYS remember to click the BLUE Save button.

 

Next add your coupon or special offer…
  • Select Collateral from the left column.
  • Click on Special Offer.
  • Click on the BLUE Add Offer button.
  • Complete the form. (ALL red fields are REQUIRED information.)
  • ALWAYS click the BLUE Save button.

Once your coupon is submitted, staff will review and approve coupons before they are displayed on the website.

To repeat an expired coupon, you can clone an existing coupon after it has expired.


Co-op Advertising Opportunities

The SCC&TB has many marketing programs that increase your business exposure. Select the one that is right for you and contact the listed Chamber staff member. We look forward to helping you grow and prosper!


Local e-News Submission Criteria (sent on the second and fourth Friday each month to 3,100+ locals)

  • Submissions must be about the active partner only, such as an event/news/discount/etc.
  • Submissions are to be under 500 characters (including spaces). Longer submissions cannot be accepted and we cannot edit copy on your behalf.
  • Deadline is the Wednesday before the second or fourth Friday at noon.
  • Submissions are to be written in third person – avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
  • Please use complete sentences.
  • Don’t use ALL CAPS.
  • Send information that is timely and relevant.
  • Each Partner may submit up to two times per month, one submission per newsletter.
  • Please include the date you would prefer the item to be published.
  • Submissions may include live links and email addresses.
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.

USE THIS EXAMPLE AS A TEMPLATE:

May 5: Sedona Rotary Club Hosts Chili Cook Off
On Saturday, May 5 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., attend the Great Sedona Chili Cook Off located at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Cost is $10 per ticket, the proceeds from which will fund Rotary projects throughout the community. Purchase your tickets at Sedona Chamber Visitor Center or at the door. Price includes wine, food, and entertainment. Call 928. 555.1000, or visit SedonaRotary.org for more information.


Facebook Submissions

Sedona Chamber (All partners; local focus; 11,000+ followers):

  • Submit a timely business-related event or news. Events must take place at a partner’s location or be hosted by a partner.
  • Volunteer charity events are permissible. Do not submit advertising copy or images/verbiage about politics, religion, or other topics that could be considered controversial.
  • Submissions must be under 280 characters.
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution, captivating photo or video.
  • Please write in the third person- avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
  • Submissions are limited to two posts per month.
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.

 

Visit Sedona (Tourism level partners only; visitor focus;  150,000+ followers):

  • Submit a timely business-related event or news. Events must take place at a partner’s location or be hosted by a partner.
  • Information should be stated briefly and appeal to a wide, diverse audience.
  • Avoid advertising copy and imagery/verbiage about politics, religion or other topics that could be considered controversial.
  • Submissions must be under 280 characters.
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution, captivating photo or video of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage).
  • Please write in the third person- avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
  • Submissions are limited to two posts per month.
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.

Instagram Submissions

VisitSedona Instagram (Tourism level partners only; visitor focus; 100,000+ followers)

  • Tourism partners can submit two posts per month.
  • Captions must be fewer than 280 characters, including spaces.
  • Submissions must be high-resolution, professional photos/videos related to Sedona views or Sedona activities. Videos must be 30 seconds or less.
  • Send your submissions and questions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.

Instagram Story Feature

  • Tourism level partners can be featured on Visit Sedona’s Instagram Story twice a year.
  • Please contact Communications Manager, Emma Keider, to feature a tour of your business or to share a unique Sedona experience on the Story.


Twitter Submissions

@SedonaChamber (All partners; local focus; 2,000+ followers) | @SedonaAZ (Tourism level partners only; visitor focus; 14,000+ followers)

  • Submissions must be 280 characters or less, including spaces.
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution, captivating photo or video of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage).
  • Submissions are limited to two posts per month.
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.


Pinterest Submissions

Visit Sedona (Tourism level partners only; visitor focus;  1,500+ followers)

  • Partners may submit one photo per week.
  • Must be a captivating, high resolution photo of Sedona or the surrounding area.
  • Please provide photo credits.
  • Verbiage should be colorful, conversational, 15 words or fewer, no time or date references.
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.


Blog

SedonaChamber (All partners; local focus;  145,000+ unique website sessions annually)

  • One partner blog per year allotted.
  • 400-1000 words including a title.
  • Submissions should be news regarding your business will be of general interest (such as sustainability features or new equipment/technologies that improve your service), discounts or upcoming events.
  • Submissions must include a link and 2-4 low resolution (200 pixels wide) photos of Sedona or the surrounding area (NO PDF’s or JPEG’s containing verbiage).
  • Please write in the third person- avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
  • Send your submissions or questions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.

Visit Sedona (Tourism level partners only; visitor focus; 1.7 million unique website sessions annually)

  • One partner blog per year allotted.
  • 400-1000 words including a title.
  • Submissions should be about a Sedona experience, insider tips related to your industry or an upcoming major event.
  • Submissions must include a link and 2-4 low resolution horizontal (200 pixels wide) photos of Sedona or the surrounding area (NO PDF’s or JPEG’s containing verbiage).
  • Please include the author name and a photo of the author.
  • Please write in the third person- avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
  • Send your submissions to Emma Keider, Communications Manager.


Online Calendar of Events

  • An event is a unique or one-time ‘happening,’ of public interest that occurs at a specific place and time or interval of time.
  • It is not a product or service that is offered normally or regularly.
  • Events must be submitted by a Chamber partner and be held at a partner venue, or in the Sedona-Verde Valley region.
  • Events are not special offers, promotions or deals. Those should be submitted to either ShopinSedona.com (available to all Chamber partners) or on the Deals & Coupons page (Deals are available to Tourism level partners only).
  • Descriptions are limited to 500 characters including spaces.
  • Please fill out the event submission page as completely as possible.
  • Each submission is reviewed by Chamber staff. When approved, event posting will be live within 48 hours. We will notify you if the submission does not meet event criteria. Please keep a copy of your submission information since it will not be saved in the online system.


Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board Guidelines

The Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board is used to inform visitors of Sedona events and provide  partners with a tool for promoting special, non-recurring events.

  • Maximum flyer size is 8½” x 11”.
  • Only active partners of the Sedona Chamber or venues owned/operated by Chamber partners are eligible to post on the Visitor Center Bulletin Board. The partner’s name must be specified on the flyer.
  • Posting space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Each flyer MUST identify a specific event date, location and time.
  • Fyers may be posted by Visitor Center staff only. For availability, contact Director of Visitor Services, Donna Retegan.

Visitor Center Poster Advertising

To rent specialty sign advertising space by the week at the Visitor Center, download the criteria and reservation form and contact Donna Retegan, Director of Visitor Services. Space is rented on a weekly basis.
