All submissions for Sedona Chamber publications listed below must contain business news, events, and discounts only. They are not to be used for commentary on controversial issues. We reserve the right to edit or reject submissions that may compromise these standards or the Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau mission, goals, and values.

Coupon/Offer

The criteria for creating COUPONS are easy and straight forward…

  • A Coupon is more than a ongoing discount – it should be a special offer
  • Discount offers may run up to 3 months – or you can change them frequently and even schedule them for the futue
  • Each category listing may have 2 active special offers at a time
  • An image is not required, but highly recommended.
If you do not already have an image uploaded to your partner profile, do that FIRST.
To add images (or video) to your profile page, login to the Extranet from the Home page of SedonaChamber.com. Once logged in you will find navigation tabs on the left side of the screen.
  • Select COLLATERAL from the left column
  • Next select MEDIA  from the flyout menu
  • Then click the BLUE Add New Media button.
  • Complete the form. (ALL red fields are REQUIRED information)
  • ALWAYS remember to click the BLUE Save button.
Next add your coupon or special offer…
  • In the Extranet, click on COLLATERAL in the left column
  • Next click on SPECIAL OFFER
  • Click on the BLUE Add Offer button
  • Complete the form. (ALL red fields are REQUIRED information)
  • ALWAYS click the BLUE Save button
Once your coupon is submitted the Chamber staff will review and approve coupons before they are displayed on the website.  All coupons last only for the duration of the offer. To repeat the same offer, you can CLONE an existing OFFER after it has expired.

Co-op Advertising Opportunities

The SCC&TB has a number of opportunities that you can participate in to gain exposure for your business. Take a look! Each staff person’s name and email address is listed by their respective program.  We look forward to your participation in these programs!


Local e-News Submission Criteria (Tuesday morning email newsletter sent to 2,750+ locals)

  • Submissions must be about the active partner, or about an event/news/discount/etc. at the place of business of an active partner only
  • Submissions are to be 500 characters (including spaces) with a title send over in the body of an email or in a Word Doc.
  • Deadline is every Friday by 12:00 p.m.
  • Submissions are to be written in third person- avoid “I, We, Us”
  • Please use complete sentences
  • Don’t use ALL CAPS
  • Send information that is timely and relevant
  • Submissions can be accepted from one Partner two times per month, one submission per newsletter.
  • Submissions will be published once. Please include the date you would prefer the item to be published when you submit it
  • Submissions may have one live link and one email address link
  • Send your submissions to Kegn Moorcroft, Director of Communications

USE THIS EXAMPLE AS A TEMPLATE:

May 5: Sedona Rotary Club Hosts Chili Cook Off
On Saturday, May 5 from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., attend the Great Sedona Chili Cook Off located at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village. Cost is $10 per ticket, the proceeds from which will fund Rotary projects throughout the community. Purchase your tickets at Sedona Chamber Visitor Center or at the door.   • The timely event or news must take place at a partner’s location or be hosted by a partner
  • Avoid imagery and verbiage about politics, religion, advertisements and other controversial topics
  • Submissions are to be 15 words or less.
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution captivating photo of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage)
  • Please write in the third person -avoid I, we, ours, me, my, etc.
  • Submissions are limited to two (2) per month

Visit Sedona (Tourism Bureau partners only, visitor focus, 120,000+ fans)

  • The timely event or news must take place at a partner’s location or be hosted by a partner
  • Information should be as short, sweet, and broad as possible, potentially engagement of the majority of the fans
  • If post has not engaged at least 15% of the fans, post may be deleted
  • Avoid imagery and verbiage about politics, religion, advertisements and other controversial topics
  • 15 words or less
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution captivating photo of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage)
  • Please write in the third person -avoid I, we, ours, me, my, etc.
  • Submissions are limited to two (2) per month
  • Send your submissions to Kegn Moorcroft, Director of Communications

Video Showcase for Facebook

  • High definition video footage must be sent directly to pr@sedonachamber.com in an MP4 file, deliverable by Google sharing document or Dropbox (ask if you need instructions)
  • 15 words or less should accompany the video, including a link or tag to your social partner page
  • Since the video footage will be uploaded directly to our social sites, the third person should be used as “we” and “us” don’t own your company
  • Talking in the video should be limited as the subject should be a clear vivid showcase of Sedona’s beauty
  • Video’s can be from 15 seconds to 2 minutes in length
  • Video’s should have no text or logo overlay

Twitter

@SedonaChamber (all partner levels, local focus, 1,540+ fans) | @SedonaAZ (Tourism Bureau partners only, visitor focus, 11,000+ fans)

  • Timely submissions must be 140 characters or less, including spaces.
  • Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
  • Submissions must include a high resolution captivating photo of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage)
  • Submissions are limited to four (4) per month

Pinterest

Visit Sedona (Tourism Bureau partners only, visitor focus, 1,500+ fans)

  • Partners may submit one (1) photo per week
  • Must be a captivating high resolution photo of Sedona or the surrounding area
  • Please provide photo credits and brief description
  • Verbiage should be short and sweet, 15 words or less, no time references
  • Send your submissions to Kegn Moorcroft, Director of Communications


Blog

SedonaChamber (All partners, local focus)

  • One partner blog per year allotted
  • 100-500 words including a title
  • Submissions should be about news, discounts or upcoming events
  • Submissions must include a link and 2-4 low resolution (200 pixels wide) photos of Sedona or the surrounding area (NO PDF’s or JPEG’s containing verbiage)
  • Please write in the third person -avoid I, we, ours, me, my, etc.
  • Send your submissions to Kegn Moorcroft, Director of Communications

Visit Sedona (Tourism Bureau partners only, visitor focus, 1.7 million unique website sessions annually)

  • One partner blog per year allotted
  • 100-500 words including a title
  • Submissions should be about a Sedona experience, insider tips, or an upcoming major event
  • Submissions must include a link and 2-4 low resolution captivating (200 pixels wide) photos of Sedona or the surrounding area (NO PDF’s or JPEG’s containing verbiage)
  • Please write in the third person -avoid I, we, ours, me, my, etc
  • Send your submissions to Kegn Moorcroft, Director of Communications


Instagram

  • Tag your images using hash tag #SedonaEscape to be considered for a Repost.


Online Calendar of Events

  • An event is classified as something that is regarded as a ‘happening’, especially one of some importance, and occurs in a certain place and/or during a particular interval of time.
  • It is not a product or service that is offered normally or regularly.
  • Events must be submitted by a Chamber partner, be held at a partner venue, and/or in the Sedona-Verde Valley region.
  • Non-partner events are limited to four (4) submissions a month.
  • A special offer, promotion, or deal should be submitted to either ShopinSedona.com (available to all Chamber partners) or on the Deals & Coupons page (Deals are available only to Tourism Bureau partners), not as an event.
  • Descriptions are limited to 500 characters including spaces.
  • Please fill out the event submission page as completely as possible.
  • After an event submission is completed, the event will be sent to a chamber representative for approval or denial. When approved, event posting will be live within 48 hours. If denied, you will be informed of the reason, but we recommend you keep a copy of your submission information since event information will not be saved in the online system.


Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board Guidelines

  • For special, non-recurring events and signature events only. Maximum flyer size is 8½” x 11”
  • The purpose of the Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board is two-fold:
    • inform our visitors of events in Sedona
    • provide partners with another tool for promoting special, non-recurring events.
  • Its use is restricted only to active partners of the Sedona Chamber – the venue must either be an active partner or the presenter must be an active a partner. The partner’s name needs to specifically be identified on the flyer.
  • Posting space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Each flyer MUST have a specific date identified on the flyer.
  • All flyers will be posted by the Visitor Center staff only. Download the criteria here.
