- What is it? This workshop is designed specifically for small business owners and their teams who are curious about Artificial Intelligence (AI) but might not know where to start. We’ll demystify AI and show you practical applications.
- What will I learn? You’ll gain a foundational understanding of what AI is (and isn’t!), explore real-world examples of how small businesses are leveraging AI today, and discover actionable strategies for integrating AI tools into your own operations.
- Is it technical? Absolutely not! This is a “101” course, meaning we’ll focus on concepts and practical applications, not complex coding or algorithms. No prior AI knowledge is required.
- Who should attend? Small business owners, managers, marketing professionals, operations leads – anyone in a small business looking to understand and potentially utilize AI to improve efficiency, customer experience, or growth.
- What should I bring? Just your curiosity and a notebook! Laptops are welcome if you prefer digital note-taking, but not required. We’ll provide any necessary materials.

Verde Valley Job Fair 2025 
A Verde Valley Job Fair will be held on Tuesday, August 5! This is a great opportunity for employers to book a table and interview viable candidates in time for the busy fall season.
We are pleased to invite you and your business or organization to be an exhibitor at our 2025 Verde Valley Job Fair. The Fair is being offered through the combined efforts of Yavapai College, the Greater Verde Valley Chamber of Commerce, the City of Cottonwood, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, ARIZONA@WORK Yavapai County, and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The emphasis for the Fair will be on job recruitment as well as career opportunities and resources that can lead to employment.
The Verde Valley Job Fair will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 3 – 6 p.m. at the Cottonwood Recreation Center, 150 S. 6th St, Cottonwood.
The cost of participating in the Fair is as follows:
- $100 Exhibitor Registration Rate (ANY Chamber Member) / $125 Exhibitor Registration Rate (Non-Chamber Member): Through July 22. This registration fee includes refreshments for two, a table and two chairs.
- Silver Sponsorship – $200: Through July 1
- With the Bronze sponsorship, you will be acknowledged as a sponsor on marketing materials.
- Your exhibitor table will be placed in a preferential location at the event.
- You will receive refreshments for three individuals.
- If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please email your company logo to Katherine.Anderson@yc.edu no later than July1, 2025.
- Gold Sponsorship – $250: Through July 1
- With the Gold sponsorship, you will be acknowledged as a sponsor on all marketing materials.
