AS SEEN IN THE RED ROCK NEWS

January 22, 2021

jan-2021-free-sanitizer-at-seThe free community shredding event at our offices January 8 was a perfect snapshot of how Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau partnerships are serving Sedona during the COVID-19 pandemic and why, if you are not yet a member, now is the time to join.

The event was a contactless way for Sedonans to destroy no-longer-needed documents. But we also distributed free masks and hand sanitizers donated by Yavapai County and delivered to us by our friends at the Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce. We initially distributed the supplies to our members and found we had enough on hand to distribute to participants at the public shredding event.

This kind of results-oriented public service has been our hallmark since the pandemic began. For example, we started Sedona | Safe.Clean.Ready last spring to promote safety practices among businesses and visitors; we created the “Mask Up, Sedona” campaign to support the City mask mandate; we founded the Sedona Tourism Economic Recovery Task Force, a dynamic group of leaders monitoring our economic recovery; we adjusted tourism management practices as the pandemic situation changed, and we launched a vigorous outreach effort to educate visitors on the safety behaviors we expect while they are here.

These civic-minded responses tell you all you need to know about the men and women who make up our membership, staff, board and volunteers. When you join us, you become part of the solution in fighting COVID-19 and helping our economy recover, and you tap into services to help your business grow, all while becoming a more engaged and informed corporate citizen.

For example, as a Chamber partner, you get:

>> Exclusive access to our weekly members-only newsletter with updates on local business statistics.
