The Gathering Place just became a Certified Sustainable Business at the Conservationist/Bronze level

Everyone is welcome at The Gathering Place, a non-denominational, volunteer-run coffee house space in West Sedona that offers organic, non-GMO coffee and tea at no cost.

As a donation-based nonprofit, The Gathering Place uses resources wisely. Board games, books, foosball and air hockey tables are all donated, and much of the furniture is reclaimed.

The building is energy efficient and Dark Sky compliant. Appliances are repurposed or donated, and water fixtures are low flow. Large chalkboards provide information, announcements, and creative possibilities – and since they are painted on the walls they require no extra backing material.

Conserving human energy is important too. Gathering Place volunteers work no more than six hours per week, and new volunteers shadow more experienced team members to get comfortable in their role.

If you’re looking for a quiet place to meet, read, or relax and connect with others, the team at The Gathering Place invites you to stop in.
