Historical Red Rock Loop Round-Up
September 24 – 27, 2025. Tours follow the Red Rock Loop Road with guide Paul Thompson, grandson of Oak Creek Canyon’s first permanent Anglo settler, J.J. Thompson. The tour will visit the Chavez place, Dumas Ranch, Red Rock Cemetery-1893, Schuerman homestead house, Armijo homestead house (on the National Register of Historic Places), ruins of the area’s first school (1891), and the site of an early Oak Creek vineyard and Arizona’s first commercial winery.
