The Sedona Chamber, with input from the city of Sedona, has created a communication toolkit for the Sedona Shuttle. It gives you everything you need to show your guests how easy it is to ride the free Sedona Shuttle to your favorite trailheads. Use this content in your guest confirmation emails, on your website, and in your social media to help inform all your guests about this great service.

While most travelers like to have an itinerary well-planned before their arrival to their destination, they may not know all the options available to them until they arrive.

Hiking is the number one recreational activity that tourists will participate in during their visit, searching for the iconic places seen world-wide. Potentially, those locations will be on their bucket list.

In an effort to control over-tourism in those areas as well as reducing the environmental damage that occurs from daily wear and tear on the hiking trails, the Sedona Chamber of Commerce along with input from the city of Sedona, created eco-friendly ways to see Sedona’s most popular destinations while cutting down on the carbon footprint.

The Sedona Shuttle has been in operation since March 2022 and was instituted to alleviate parking stress at the trailheads, as well as limit the number of people hiking at the same time. The shuttle runs Thursday through Sunday, year-round. It’s free and it’s an easy way to explore Sedona’s favorite trails.

We have provided a Sedona Shuttle Toolkit that is supplied with maps, trailheads, parking, shuttle schedule and information that you can provide to your guests to help them move around the city so that they will ultimately experience the mountain vistas and desert terrain that we all enjoy.

There are two locations for parking with a shuttle stop for visitors to ride the shuttle to several trailheads.

To get to Cathedral Rock and Little Horse Trailhead, the shuttle pick-up is located on 1294 North State Route 179, close to Church of the Red Rocks.

The second shuttle, located at Posse Grounds Park and Ride, 20 Carruth Drive will take visitors to Soldier Pass, Dry Creek Vista and Mescal Trailheads.

The shuttles run 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  and during peak visitation times, shuttles may run seven days a week.

The Sedona Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau has provided businesses, such as yours, with these essential toolkits that will assist you.
