SEDONA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & TOURISM BUREAU

The Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau (hereafter referred to as “The Sedona Chamber”) respects your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the Sedona Chamber’s policies and practices regarding personal information, ongoing communication, site security, and overall website usage for the websites operated by the Sedona Chamber, including visitsedona.com, SedonaChamber.com, MySedonaMeeting.com, and walksedona.com. These provisions apply solely to online activities and are not necessarily applicable to practices the Sedona Chamber may engage in outside of a Sedona Chamber operated website. Use of the websites signifies your agreement to the terms and conditions set forth in this policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or otherwise use the websites.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
The Sedona Chamber collects information from our users at several different points on our websites through cookies, log files, clear gifs (web beacons), and/or third parties to create a profile of our users. The Sedona Chamber only collects personally identifiable information if such information is directly provided by you, such as providing name, email address, and location to receive email news and marketing materials from the Sedona Chamber, in which case such personally identifiable information will be used for the purposes you provided such information. The Sedona Chamber may retain such personally identifiable information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which you provided the personally identifiable information, unless you notify the Sedona Chamber of your request to Opt-Out (see Opt-Out policy below). The Sedona Chamber may use personally identifiable information for internal analysis purposes. The Sedona Chamber may share personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide in any registration or contest submissions with the Sedona Chamber’s members, if you have given consent for such information to be shared.

When you visit and interact with this site, we may collect non-personal information (for example, a catalog of the site pages you visit). As with many other sites, our site may use “cookies” or other technologies to help us deliver content specific to your interests and/or to analyze your visiting patterns. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to disclose your individual identity. This information identifies your browser, but not you, to our servers when you visit our site. If you want to remove cookies at any time from your computer, you can delete them using your browser (consult your browser’s “help” menu to learn how to delete cookies). You may also be able to instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Note, however, that if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use portions of The Sedona Chamber’s websites.
We also may collect data by using “pixel tags,” “web beacons,” “clear GIFs” or similar means (collectively, “pixel tags”) that allow us to know when you visit our site. Through pixel tags, we obtain non-personal information or aggregate information (i.e., the domain name, the areas of the site you visit, your operating system, your browser version, and the URL you came from) which can be used to enhance your online experience and understand traffic patterns.

TRACKING CLICKED LINKS
The Sedona Chamber uses third-party advertising technology to serve ads on sites upon which we advertise. This technology uses information about your visits to the sites upon which we advertise (NOT including your name, address or other personal information) to serve our ads to you. In the course of serving our advertisements to you, a unique third-party cookie may be placed or recognized on your browser. In addition, we use clear GIFs, or pixel tags, provided by our ad serving company to help manage our online advertising. These clear GIFs allow our ad server to recognize a browser’s cookie when a browser visits this site and to learn which banner ads bring users to our website. The information we collect and share through this technology is not personally identifiable. To learn more about our ad serving partner, cookies and how to “opt-out”, please refer to the Opt-Out Policy below.

In order to create a better electronic community, we track patterns of use in the emails we send out. We note which links are clicked in our email communications to tell us what areas are of most interest to our opt-in recipients. We may use this information to better personalize the content and promotions that we send you in future mailings. A “referrer” is the information passed along by a Web browser that references the Web URL you linked from, and is automatically gathered by our Web server. This information is used to identify broad demographic trends that maybe used to provide information tailored to your interests. You will not be personally identified from this information.

COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE SITE
Members of the site will occasionally receive newsletters, information on services, or special deals. The Sedona Chamber will not send you email communications unless you have specifically requested to receive such communications. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Please see the Opt-Out Policy section.

SURVEYS AND CONTESTS
Occasionally our site requests information from users via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and email address) and demographic information (such as zip code). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site. Contact information will be used to notify winners and award prizes. Users’ personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties unless we give prior notice and choice, and the user has provided consent. Though we may use an intermediary to conduct these surveys or contests, they may not use our users’ personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.

SECURITY
This website takes commercially reasonable precautions to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, their information is protected both online and off-line. All of our users’ information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. The servers that store personally identifiable information are in a secure environment, in a locked case. Note, however that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, thus we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

LINKS
This website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we, The Sedona Chamber, are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the websites operated by the Sedona Chamber.

LEGAL DISCLOSURES
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our website.

OPT-OUT POLICY
The Sedona Chamber will use email addresses and other personally identifiable information to contact visitors who communicate with us. For example, we email visitors who provide us with their email addresses for specific purposes such as receiving our email newsletters. After gathering any user information, the Sedona Chamber offers users the opportunity to access their information and/or remove their information from our database so as not to receive future communications or to no longer interact with the website until they later chose to. Each email communication always contains instructions on how to discontinue receipt.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGE
The Sedona Chamber reserves the right, at its sole discretion to change, modify, add, or remove any portion of this policy, in whole or in part, at any time. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the homepage and other places we deem appropriate so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected. If, however, we are going to use users’ personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify users via email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. However, if users have opted out of all communication with the site, or deleted/deactivated their account, then they will not be contacted, nor will their personal information be used in this new manner. In some cases where we post a notice we will also email users who have opted to receive communications from us, notifying them of changes in our privacy practices.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our websites are not intended to address anyone under the age of 18. The Sedona Chamber does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
