Two weeks ago, we kicked off 2026 with our first ribbon cutting of the year at The Local Sedona—and honestly? It set the bar. Incredible turnout, great energy, and a beautiful reminder of what these celebrations are meant to be: community, connection, and showing up for local business.

Huge shoutout to Kristin and the entire Local Sedona team for hosting such a welcoming, well-loved celebration—it was a joy to be part of and a perfect way to start the year.

So… what is a ribbon cutting?
Ribbon cuttings are free celebrations for our members open to the community and designed to spotlight your business within Sedona’s vibrant local scene. They’re perfect for:
• New Chamber Members
• Grand Openings & New Locations
• Anniversaries & Milestones

Invite your friends, clients, supporters, neighbors—anyone who’s been part of your journey. Hosts may choose to provide refreshments, beverages, or raffles (but it’s never required), and some even fold their ribbon cutting into a larger celebration.

Ribbon cuttings are typically 30 minutes, with about 10–15 minutes of speaking. Our Chamber President & CEO, David Key, will welcome the crowd and introduce you and your business, and when available, our Mayor may also join to say a few words. Most are scheduled Tuesday–Friday afternoons, with flexibility when needed.

As part of every ribbon cutting, we also bring a photo mat for attendees to sign and present you with a framed photo from your ribbon cutting as a keepsake—something you can hang in your space and look back on as a reminder of this milestone and the community that showed up for you.
