Local News & Deals Submission Guidelines
We bring you a more marketable way to reach more viewers: from the previous Local eNewsletter, to the Local News & Deals page online.
The improved added benefits are from listening to your feedback and are as follows:
- Members have full control over when they upload their submissions via the Extranet
- More visibility for the Local Newsletter: Sedona Chamber website reaches over 125,000 pageviews.
- You are allotted 500 characters (including spaces and text) to describe your business offerings, milestones, or events. All submissions should be written in the third person.
- 2 MB JPG image (16:9 aspect ratio, or between 965 – 1240px W by 724 – 775px H)
- Submissions stay live for one month!
A staff member will review your submission, and once approved, it will go live.

GENERAL GUIDELINES BEFORE SENDING SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT: Greater Sedona Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau maintains ambitious standards for social media content. Let our team guide you! We might source creative that will perform better on our platforms or request additional photos from you. • Submissions will be reviewed by staff and approved or sent back to you for editing. • Include a link (URL) for your business and/or a call to action. • Submissions must include a high-resolution captivating photo or video (Do not submit photos with placed text)
- Please send your submissions to Erin Burd at eburd@sedonachamber.com. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. on the Tuesday before the desired week of publication.
- Avoid advertising copy and imagery/verbiage about politics, religion or other topics that could be considered controversial.
- Submissions must be under 280 characters.
- Submissions should include a link and/or a call to action.
- Submissions must include a high-resolution, captivating photo or video of Sedona or the surrounding area (No PDFs or JPEGs containing verbiage).
- Please write in the third person- avoid “I, we, our, me, my, etc.”
- Submissions are limited to one post per month.

- Submissions must include a link and 4-6 high-resolution horizontal photos of Sedona or the surrounding area (NO PDF’s or JPEG’s containing verbiage).

Online Calendar of Events
- An event is a unique or one-time ‘happening’ of public interest that occurs at a specific place and time or interval of time.
- It is not a product or service that is offered normally or regularly.
- Events must be submitted by a Chamber partner and held at a partner venue or in the Sedona-Verde Valley region.
- Descriptions are limited to 500 characters, including spaces.
- To appear on the Visit Sedona Calendar, add your event on the Extranet. Click the Collateral tab and then Calendar of Events.
- Please fill out the event submission page as completely as possible.
- Each submission is reviewed by Chamber staff Monday through Thursday. When approved, event posting will be live within 48 hours. We will notify you if the submission does not meet event criteria. Please keep a copy of your submission information since it will not be saved in the online system.

Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board Guidelines
The Visitor Center Events Bulletin Board is used to inform visitors of Sedona events and provide partners with a tool for promoting special, non-recurring events.
- Maximum flyer size is 8½” x 11”.
- Only active partners of the Sedona Chamber or venues owned/operated by Chamber partners are eligible to post on the Visitor Center Bulletin Board. The partner’s name must be specified on the flyer.
- Posting space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Each flyer MUST identify a specific event date, location and time.
- Flyers may be posted by Visitor Center staff only. For availability, contact the Director of Visitor Services at vlatunski@sedonachamber.com.
